 Venerable Visuddhacara is a former Theravadan Buddhist monk, was born in 1953 in Penang, Malaysia. He was a journalist before becoming a novice monk in 1983 under the guidance of Venerable Sujiva in Kota Tinggi. He was ordained by Sayadaw U Pandita at Mahasi Meditation Centre, Rangoon, in 1987.
He returned to Penang in 1991 where he continued his study and practice of Dhamma and meditation besides doing some teaching. The Venerable is the author of several books: Curbing Anger Spreading Love; Drinking Tea Living Life; Loving And Dying; and "Hello With Love And Other Meditations."
