 Venerable Shih Man Ya is a disciple of Venerable Master Hsing Yu . She graduated with a Master degree in Information Techvology Management from Texas University. She is presently the Abbess of Fo Guang Shan Malaysia. She has written an article, "Genetic Modification and Karma", published in Chinese.
Note: Hsi Fang Temple is a Chinese Ch'an Buddhist temple. The temple was founded by the Venerable Master Hsing Yun in 1989. It is associated with the Fo Guang Shan order and temple in Taiwan as well as the Hsi Lai Temple in Hacienda Heights, California.
