Metta Welfare Association is selected as one of the beneficiaries for this year's 'Singapore Million Dollar Duck Race 2002' . This year's duck race will be held on the 24th November 2002 at the Singapore River. As a beneficiary, we are responsible for the partial sale of the adoption certificates through this unique fund raising event. Funds raised will be for Metta Hospice Care. 


Metta Hospice Care (MHC) was established in February 2001 to provide Free Home Care service to the terminally ill regardless of age, race or religion at his/her home. Our MHC's services includes managing client's symptoms to minimise distress, provide emotional and spiritual support to the client and his/her family, educate family on basic nursing care and procedures and loan of equipment. 


We would like to appeal to your kindness by purchasing or help us sell the Adopt-a-Duck certificates. Free delivery will be provided for orders of 3 booklets and above.  (1 book = 10pcs , 1pc = $10)

Mechanics of the Duck Race 


1. Adopt a duck for $10.00 and receive an Adoption Certificate with a serial number 

2. Keep your Adoption Certificate 

3. The number on your Adoption Certificate will be matched with the number on one of the racing ducks. If your duck is among 1st - 50th to cross the finish line, you will win a prize. And if the 1st duck crosses the finish line is a red duck, the owner will not only win the top prize of S$10 ,000 but an additional of S$1 MILLION DOLLARS.
