Sayadaw U Rajinda, was born in Shwebo District, Myanmar. He became a novice monk (Samanera) at the age of 10 and then a fully ordained monk (Bikkhu) of Theravada Monastic Order at the age of 20.
Bhante has lived in Singapore for the last 12 years teaching meditation, dharma and the adbidharma. A practitioner of the Mahasi Method, his simple spoken English has benefited many with his personal insights.
Bhante is the founder of the Satipatthana Meditation Centre (SMC) in Singapore and has been serving as its Religious Advisor ever since.
