Biography of Venerable Ajahn Cagino




Venerable Cagino was born in Malaysia and graduated from the Malaysian Institute of Art with a Diploma of Arts. A professional photographer was awarded over 40 prizes and won the Asian Photography Competition 1990. At the age of 29, he wandered around forest monasteries in Thailand and New Zealand in search of the Dhamma. He became a novice monk in Ang Hock Si Temple, Penang and later took his higher ordination with the Thai master Ajahn Ganha. Later he became a monk at Wat Pah Nanachat. Through Ajahn Cagino’s wandering in Thailand, he has covered more than 4,000km on foot.
